Two sensational skydives that went
according to plan. First, a 40 way built by around 9,000 ft and to follow it up
a two point 41 way. See the photos page for more pictures. This one is from Jørgen's camera. A special video of the jumps
has been prepared and there are a limited number still available. Well it was a huge task to organise the state record skydives for the Australia Day Lotto Skyshow and over 150 people have donated their time and money to make it a huge success. Some of the behind the scene people & organisations include, City of Perth (Sponsor), Stan Morris (LDO, smoke and lots of other stuff), Sydney Skydivers (Skyvan), Air Australia (Seneca II), Peter Morrison (Caravan Pilot), Steve Myles (Skyvan Pilot), Craig Strange (Seneca pilot), Richard Stainton (Water rescue coordination), Werner Buhlmann & the Royal Aero Club (Airshow organisation), CASA and Airservices. |

How many cartons of beer should you buy
for just one jump? Lots, if your name is James. 100th Jump on Australia Day out of the Skyvan (before the Skyshow jumps), in the boat from 14,000 ft to 5,000 ft and finding the boat undamaged (but being attacked by some dogs) near one of our neighbours house. Yahoo, what a fantastic skydive. James & Ellen in the boat with boat crew including Tim Castle, Johno, Andy Hardy, Rachel, Maiko and pictures by camera chick Mel.

Skydivers with car problems
![]() |
If you think skydiving is an expensive hobby, just ask Ray what his Falcon race car costs him. With a 351 Cleveland, 4v flowed heads, steel crank and 850 Holly it pumps out about 500 horses. Running an older style drive train and with only 8 inch rims it's a bit of a handful to get it round the track. |

This Falcon is all Leon Conway's work. Still to be painted, it has a Turbo 4.1 litre straight 6, air suspension, power steer & windows with a lot lower than standard roof line. When Leon gets it finished we'll let him park it in the middle of the packing area and have a few beers admiring the 1,500+ hours and lots of $$ he has put into the car. |
Elvis was in the aircraft

Working with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service Skydive Express pitched in and had Elvis impersonator (George Vegas) do a Tandem Skydive on what was the 25th anniversary of Elvis's death. Thanks to Andy Hardy as the Tandem Master on this jump. The Red Cross Blood Service has 6 Centres in the Metropolitan area - please call 131 495 to make an appointment. |

Thanks to Tim Castle, Karl & Washie we now have a world class sauna at the DZ. It boasts cedar benches, stainless steel gas fired burner, mains water supply and is enclosed in its own shed next to the pool. Plus a hot & cold shower in the change room. |
New Plane

For those who have noticed, we now have a 'super' Cessna 182 (was Pete's Parachuting plane) at the DZ. With a bigger engine it gets to height easily and is perfect if you can't fill the Caravan. |
