The Best Ground Facilities of a Full Time Skydiving Centre in Australia

The skydiving industry can be fairly primitive when it comes to its facilities.  Whilst it is the skydiving that is important, as a skydiver you spend a lot of time on the ground and should not have to put up with just a shed in the paddock next to a runway.

Poor facilities are unacceptable. In June 1999 we opened our new Skydiving Centre that is now regarded as the best in Australia and recognised with our finalist award in the 2000 Western Australian Tourism Awards (Tourism Development Projects category).

Our health department approved café & licensed bar (the only one at a skydiving centre in WA) provides a great place for your family and friends to catch a bite to eat.

In summer, our building is air-conditioned and our pool (amongst the palms) provides a great place to rest.

Finally, our facility is professionally cleaned several times every week. It’s just how it should be.

A Fantastic Skydiving Aircraft

Small slow climbing aircraft dominate the skydiving industry and again, this was unacceptable to us.

Our Cessna Caravan is one of the three best skydiving aircraft in the world. It is a modern aircraft design and utilises a turbine (jet) engine that runs on the same fuel that Qantas uses (AIR-BP Jet A1).

It’s 17 place capacity means we can take more of your friends together and get you skydiving quicker. The big door means it’s easy to get out of. Our chief pilot has over 12,000 hours of flying experience.

Commitment to Great Customer Service.

All of our staff have a commitment to providing great customer service. We were the 1st skydiving centre in Australia to become a member of the Tourism Council of Western Australia (TCWA) and are the only current skydiving member in Western Australia. TCWA oversee the tourism industry and only admit businesses that meet their strict criteria.

Guaranteed Best Value Skydiving

Our skydiving prices are similar to others, however we believe our facilities are at least 5 times superior. This and everything else we offer all ads up to giving you the best value skydiving in Western Australia.

Jump Where the Majority of Experienced Skydivers Jump

Just as it's good to eat (for example) Japanese food where the Japanese eat, you should skydive where the majority of experienced skydivers jump. In Western Australia that’s Skydive Express at York. Approximately 15,000 people will jump from our aircraft this year.

The following state records were done at and organised by Skydive Express

Largest Freefall Formation (41 people, done at the Lotto Skyworks, Australia Day 2003)

Largest Night Freefall Formation (16 people, August 2003)

Largest Women’s Freefall Formation (27 people, March 2000)

Largest POPS* Freefall Formation (12 people, November 2002)

Most jumps in a day (26 jumps, June 2006)

*Parachutists over Forty (years old)

Great Results Already Happening

Skydive Express qualifies the most beginners (people doing a 1st jump) to licensed skydivers in Western Australia & the 2nd most in Australia. Great evidence our customers are happy skydiving with us.  Three times as many jumps are done at Skydive Express than anywhere else in the state.

Modern Comfortable and State of the Art Parachute Systems

We use the latest student Tandem harness from Relative Workshop (the inventor of the Tandem Parachute System) that is praised for its superior comfort levels.

Our six Accelerated Freefall parachute systems are the latest design with a range of canopy sizes that enable us to match the size of your parachute to your weight.

Something to Think About

A wise man once said “No one likes to pay too much, but worse is paying too little. When you pay too much, all you lose is a little money. The common law of business balance will not allow excellent service to be provided for a low price. If you intend to use the lower priced service, you should add something extra for what you don’t receive (eg. Poor facilities, bad service etc.), and if you do, you will have enough to pay for something better.”
