Ryan Gibbons 0169

Every person who comes for a skydive with us has their own unique story...Some of you join us to skydive when they are travelling, some people celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other momentus occasions by getting the ULTIMATE high and Ryan is no different...

Ryan was a healthy, fit and active 16 year old when suddenly he became sick with what seemed like a bad cold, that he had for a couple of weeks. He was later admitted to hospital where he found out that he had Dilated Cardiomyopathy (a condition in which the heart's ability to pump blood is decreased because the heart's main pumping chamber, the left ventricle, is enlarged and weakened), most likely caused from a virus. Ryan was in end stage heart failure and in desperate need of a new life saving heart.

Ryan received the precious gift of life from a generous donor family and wanted to take his first skydive with his family to mark the importance of the amazing chance he has been given to appreciate all his life has to offer.

Visit one of our drop zones around Australia, have a chat with any one of our customers, our Tandem Masters, our bus drivers, our pilots; any single one of them, and you'll find out just how incredible the skydiving journey is. And what's better is anyone can do it.

Skydiving really is for anyone and here at Skydive Australia we love making dreams come true!!

Blue Skies,
The SKYDIVE crew
