The entire team at Skydive Australia are deeply saddened by the recent bushfire crisis affecting our beautiful country, animals and people. The communities that have been directly affected by the bushfires are very special to us, given how many of our customers, staff and friends reside in, are from, or holiday in these regional areas.
We believe that tourism is absolutely vital for these smaller, regional communities to survive, especially in the summer months. Once the threat of bushfire has ceased, we strongly encourage you to choose these bushfire affected areas for your next holiday destination to help support these communities in their long road to rebuilding.
We’ve also had many questions related to skydiving and whether or not we are still operating during these bushfires. We can assure our customers that we are operating as normal, including our drop zones located near bushfire affected areas, as it is still safe to jump and the smoke haze does not limit the visibility or affect the views from above. Skydive Australia continually monitors the prevailing conditions in conjunction with key regulatory bodies, including CASA and the APF, with safety and health as our primary concern.
